Crazy Sheep - Video installation
Initially impressed by the islands’ remoteness and harsh, unpredictable weather, the idea of life all year long at first seemed a little daunting. A walk in the fields brought an encounter with a sheep that proceeded to go around in circles… Madness from life on the island?
Aga Talking - Sound installation
It would make total sense that the kitchen would bring everyone together; tea, bread, food, warmth…. and I myself particularly like spending time in the kitchen… so perhaps it is inevitable that I would try to do some work starting from the kitchen.
Cherry Wood - Sculpture?
The last work spontaneously sprung up from two urges; one to create hands-on ’sculptural’ work (and get away from the computer!), and to use some of the tools provided by Steve that were pretty much at our dispense. So far, Cherry Wood is a thought about how the landscape on Uist needs closer look at the details to appreciate its uniqueness.
